Vintage Roadster as 3D large model
The term “roadster” became a common term thanks to simple open vehicles from British manufacturers such as Triumph, Jaguar or MG. Italian manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Ferrari often refer to this design as Spider. The terms Spyder (Porsche brand) and Speedster are less common. The Porsche 356 Speedster is a German classic, the Renault Sport Spider is a French rarity.
Colloquially, a roadster is the open body design of a two-seater sports car that did not have a fixed roof or folding top, but could be closed with simple tools if necessary. Roadsters are primarily intended for driving pleasure; comfort usually takes a back seat in favor of low weight.
At that time, the vehicles were deliberately simply equipped and mostly produced as two-seaters. These cars usually had no top or windshield, but sometimes offered emergency seats for one or two people in the rear.
In the 1920s and early 1930s, the term roadster primarily stood for two-seaters with a large-volume engine with a luggage compartment or, instead, a fold-out emergency seat as an essential component. They differed from corresponding convertibles (UK: Drop Head Coupé; USA: Convertible Coupé) in that they had a foldable windshield (fixed on the convertible) and a light, usually unlined hood. At this time, crank pulleys for convertibles also appeared; Roadsters had impregnated fabric parts that were attached to the top and door as side weather protection. There were also small two-seaters (for example DKW F 5, BMW 328 or MG TA-TD). The concept of these vehicles was the basis for the roadsters of the 1950s to 1970s, which were mainly built in England.
However, in DIN 70010 the appearance of a roadster is defined as follows:
Body: open structure, roll bar possible,
Roof: fixed or flexible with at least 2 positions; 1. closed, 2. opened or removed
Passenger space: 2 or more seats in at least one row
Doors: 2 or 4 side doors, luggage compartment lid possible
Windows: 2 or more side windows.

Item Description:
Material: wood
Dimensions approx. 31,3 x 13 x 10 cm(LxWxH)
Weight approx: 1,1 kg
Content: 1 x lasered kit with 151 parts / assembly instructions
Supplied as a lasered kit. This must be assembled by yourself.
No tools needed. The parts must be glued.
The kit is made of wood and has been lasered. This will cause the edges to look burnt and possibly leave traces of soot and smoke on the wood. These can be easily removed with fine sandpaper.
All components are laser cut so that there is a "beautiful" front and a marked, production-related "bad" back. Make sure that the good side always points to the visible side.
These soot and smoke marks as well as the fact that wood is a natural product, which is dimensionally influenced by basic physical laws such as temperature and humidity, there are certain limitations in the nature of the products, which must be consciously accepted.
We offer the most careful choice of material and the most modern production methods, nevertheless one has to accept with wood the peculiarities and unimpeachable characteristics, which are to be observed again and again in the practice - therefore these can not be claimed by the buyer as a material defect.
