Star Wars - TIE as 3D large model

The TIE / d defender multi-purpose star fighter of the Sienar fleet systems, TIE defenders for short, was further developed from the TIE Advanced x7 as part of the TIE Advanced program under the supervision of Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin.
After the TIE / in interceptor only briefly secured space combat superiority in the theater of war, the Empire's researchers had to look for a solution. As a result, the TIE defender was soon presented. It was the most universally usable hunter of the TIE series of the Empire, but also one of the most expensive, so that it was often only found in relatively small numbers. It was equipped with four laser cannons, two medium ion cannons and two rocket launchers. Prototypes dispensed with the ion cannons and had six lasers installed. Unlike many other TIE models, it was also equipped with protective shields and a hyperdrive, which resulted in a lower loss rate among pilots. He was also particularly fast and maneuverable, so that he served as an excellent space superiority fighter. 5 VSY, its propulsion systems were superior to those of a T-65B-X wing. The construction of the new class was supervised by Grand Admiral Zaarin. He also designed the TIE / AD-Avenger together with Darth Vader. The TIE / d was to be deployed in squadrons of four fighters each, who, with the help of their hyperspace drives, were to patrol wide areas independently without having to rely on a carrier ship. At the time of the Battle of Endor, however, only one season, the Onyx Season, was completed, which was used in this very same season. 

After the Battle of Endor, TIE defenders were often used by Lord Cronal, who used them to raid and later also to defend his base.

Some of these fighters were also used against the Zann consortium during the Battle of Kuat.
Minimizing inventory
Grand Admiral Zaarin, who had some production facilities for this hunter, wanted to overthrow the emperor and make himself head of the empire. To stop him, Admiral Thrawn was dispatched, who took up the fight against him. Thrawn had to fall back on the defeated TIE Avenger in his fight, but he finally managed to stop Zaarin with them.

The last hunters of this kind were brought to a secret imperial camp in order to secure their existence there. After fleeing from the lost battle of Thyferra, Ysanne Isard found an old production facility on a secret base. With the last resources she produced more copies that she used against the renegade squadron.

The Empire also used TIE defenders in the First Battle of Adumar.

The kit is made of wood and has been lasered. This will cause the edges to look burnt and possibly leave traces of soot and smoke on the wood. These can be easily removed with fine sandpaper.
All components are laser cut so that there is a "beautiful" front and a marked, production-related "bad" back. Make sure that the good side always points to the visible side.
These soot and smoke marks as well as the fact that wood is a natural product, which is dimensionally influenced by basic physical laws such as temperature and humidity, there are certain limitations in the nature of the products, which must be consciously accepted.
We offer the most careful choice of material and the most modern production methods, nevertheless one has to accept with wood the peculiarities and unimpeachable characteristics, which are to be observed again and again in the practice - therefore these can not be claimed by the buyer as a material defect.
