Star Wars - TIE/sa Bomber oder TIE/sh Shuttle as 3D large model
TThe TIE /sa bomber, also known as twin Ion engine surface assault or TIE bomber for short, was a light bomber variant of the TIE series of the Sienar fleet systems used by the Galactic Empire.
Unlike many other classes of spacecraft in its series, the TIE bomber had a robust double nacelle, with the one on the starboard side containing a pilot and the one on the port side containing the heavy explosive devices. These mainly included proton bombs, but torpedoes, guided-vibration rockets and orbital mines could also be loaded depending on the mission. A bomb bay was used to drop warheads, while rocket launchers allowed direct fire. Thus capital ships and star fighters could be fought effectively even at great distances. The armament of the missile boat was completed by a pair of laser cannons on the lower sides of the cockpit. A life support system was built into the interior, so that eight passengers could be carried when it was converted for troop transport. There were also ejection seats and supplies of rations and air for two days. The twin ion drive brought the bomber to 850 km / h and, due to its size, gave it less maneuverability than other TIE models. As with many related models, there was no hyperdrive.
Variations
The two standard L-s1 laser cannons have sometimes been replaced by a set of the following systems:
Guided and unguided rotary cannons
Sienar ion cannons
The alternative secondary weapon systems were:
Ion torpedoes / magnomines / cave crackers
5 Sienar MR-93 multi-target missile charges (4 each)
Sienar beam cannon
10 Sienar HC-7 ion bombs
5 Sienar KW-84 proton bombs
6 Sienar search mines
3 Sienar Goliath missiles
5 Sienar KB-D28 proton torpedoes
6 Sienar Prototype Pierced Torpedoes
Defense measures usually included one of the following:
4 Sienar XX-5 search warheads
3 chaff clouds
Sienar sensor jammers
In some cases, Sienar R / D 77 attack shields were installed, and the engines could even be replaced by SLAMs.
Tie bombers were developed on the basis of the TIE boarding ship equipped with a double nacelle and used against both planetary targets and space units. Already at 18 VSY they were used on Agaris against the Agarians. 3 VSY, TIE bombers were deployed from a Quasar Fire-class cruiser carrier to bomb Ryloth. However, the carrier was stolen from the rebel network and destroyed the bombers, whose torpedo attacks did not stop it. In the Battle of Mykapo 2 VSY, a TIE bomber dropped a magnomine at Sato's hammer. At the end of the year, two bombers were able to destroy a CR90 corvette in the Battle of Atollon with just one shot each. 0 VSY, the standard contingent of an Empire I-class star destroyer included a dozen TIE bombers, which were stored in a special compartment for safety reasons. With rebel pilots, they received a reputation as an easy target and "lame duck" because of their low speed and maneuverability. 3 NSY, TIE bombers were supposed to scare the Millennium Falcon out of an asteroid field after the Battle of Hoth by dropping bombs on possibly hiding asteroids. TIE bombers were still fighting in the Battle of Jakku 5 NSY, which meant the end of the empire.
If the section of the warhead gondola in spaceships and vehicles - new edition is representative of the whole, the bomber can carry around 36 proton bombs, ten orbital mines and 16 concussion missiles.
TIE / sa bomber becomes TIE / sh shuttle
The TIE bomber could also be converted into a Tersonentransporter, internal designation TIE / sh-Shuttle, or TIE-Shuttle for short, by changing the double nacelle.
The engineers and technicians of the Sienar fleet systems cleared the entire bomb canopy. In doing so, they removed the ship's armament, target devices and devices and other techniques that could be dispensed with for the transport of people or goods.
Individual seats were attached to a modular plate that could be easily installed and removed. The advantage of the modular design was, among other things, the optimal use and accommodation for small items in the empty rooms below. Communication devices and tactical computers were installed for the officers' work on board.
Loading and unloading takes place in hangar sections specially designed for TIE bombers. The so-called hangar bays were at the bottom of the TIE hangars. These were also used for the TIE / shs. When the order required it, the high-ranking officers or other recognized passengers climbed into the pulpit via a mobile step construction. Freight or other goods, droids, etc. were transported into the pulpit via a mobile and swiveling platform.
We have also considered this conversion in our kit. There are additional components that you can use accordingly
Please note that this kit is not a toy and can only be played with to a limited extent. Please keep the items away from small children under the age of 6 years . It involves small parts which might break off and be swallowed. We declare the model as a puzzle or decoration.
Item Description:
Material: 4 mm wood
Dimensions approx. ca. in cm: (L x W x H) 31 x 38 x 24
Weight approx: 1.8 kg
Content: 1 x lasered kit with 193 parts / assembly instructions
The kit is made of wood and has been lasered. This will cause the edges to look burnt and possibly leave traces of soot and smoke on the wood. These can be easily removed with fine sandpaper.
All components are laser cut so that there is a "beautiful" front and a marked, production-related "bad" back. Make sure that the good side always points to the visible side.
These soot and smoke marks as well as the fact that wood is a natural product, which is dimensionally influenced by basic physical laws such as temperature and humidity, there are certain limitations in the nature of the products, which must be consciously accepted.
We offer the most careful choice of material and the most modern production methods, nevertheless one has to accept with wood the peculiarities and unimpeachable characteristics, which are to be observed again and again in the practice - therefore these can not be claimed by the buyer as a material defect.
