"The West Highlander" (Hogwards Express) - Book Nook
Every fan knows what we're talking about - the "Hogwarts Express" in the films by J.K. Rowling's books, which brings wizarding students to School of Witchcraft and Wizardry every fall.
Unfortunately, you don't have the opportunity to drive to magic school, but you can build the Hogwarts Express as a Book Nook and experience it as a magical journey through your bookshelf and through your imagination.
Joane K. Rowling brought a Wizarding World to our world in 1997 with her first Harry Potter novel. In her book, the Hogwarts Express represents the transition between the normal muggle world and the mysterious wizarding world. Who wouldn't want to jump on board right away and feel some of the magic that emanates from trains?
Our model shows the Hogwarts Express locomotive with tender.
If you want, you can give the locomotive your personal touch with light and painting. No matter how you display the Hogwards Express, it's sure to be a visual treat on your bookshelf.
The train and locomotive seen in the films as the Hogwarts Express is actually the "Jacobite2," a train that has been operating in Scotland since 1985 on the route between Fort William and Mallaig, then known as "The West highlanders".
The train runs once or twice a day from Fort William to Mallaig and back on weekdays from April to October, the single journey takes just over two hours, if you have booked a round-trip it's just under six hours .
