Chevrolet Impala 1959 as 3D large model
The Chevrolet Impala is a full-size car that Chevrolet has been building in the United States since 1958. Initially, the Impala was the luxury version of the Bel Air model and thus the top model.
With the introduction of the Chevrolet Caprice in 1966, it became the medium equipment variant.
In model year 1959 there were two models, a two-door hardtop sports coupé and a two-door convertible, which bore the additional designation Impala.
They were built on the GM-B platform, had an X-shaped frame with wheels suspended individually on double wishbones at the front and a rigid axle with trailing arms and Panhard rod at the rear. With the model year 1959, all vehicle shapes changed.
The opulent tail fins became smaller and the massive bonnets flattened into the fenders.
In 1959, it became its own series, which replaced the Bel Air as a top model.
The much flatter bodies with a longer wheelbase had a radiator grille with integrated double headlights over the entire width of the vehicle and at the rear characteristic tail fins designed as wings, under which lenticular rear lights were arranged.
The Biscayne became the entry-level model and the Bel Air took the middle place. The Impala with a six-cylinder engine was called the 1700 series and the V8 models were called the 1800 series. In addition to a four-door sedan, there was a two-door convertible, a two-door hardtop coupe, a four-door hardtop sedan and a five-door station wagon. The latter had six seats and its name Nomad was taken from the corresponding Bel Air model.
The 1700 had a six-cylinder in-line engine with 3859 cm3 displacement, which gave an output of 135 hp (99 kW) at 4000 min-1. The 1800 had a V8 with a displacement of 4637 cm3 and an output of 185 hp (136 kW) at 4600 rpm, but there were also optionally more powerful engines.
Our model of the Impalla `59 is based on the two-door hardtop sports coupe. Nevertheless, the model impresses with its detailed reproduction of the typical style elements of the ´59 year of construction and the subtleties especially in the area of the rear superstructures.
Our model shows the status of 1959 and consists of 219 parts that you have to assemble using the illustrated instructions.
The model captivates by precise parts and traces the unique body shape very well.
Please note that this kit is not a toy and can only be used to a limited extent. Please keep the items away from small children under 6 years old. It involves breaking off small parts and being swallowed. We declare the model as a puzzle or decoration
Item Description:
Material: wood
Dimensions approx.46 x 17,5 x 13 cm (LxWxH)
Weight approx: 1.8 kg
Content: 1 x lasered kit with all parts / assembly instructions
Supplied as a lasered kit. This must be assembled by yourself.
No tools needed. The parts must be glued.
The kit is made of wood and has been lasered. This will cause the edges to look burnt and possibly leave traces of soot and smoke on the wood. These can be easily removed with fine sandpaper.
All components are laser cut so that there is a "beautiful" front and a marked, production-related "bad" back. Make sure that the good side always points to the visible side.
These soot and smoke marks as well as the fact that wood is a natural product, which is dimensionally influenced by basic physical laws such as temperature and humidity, there are certain limitations in the nature of the products, which must be consciously accepted.
We offer the most careful choice of material and the most modern production methods, nevertheless one has to accept with wood the peculiarities and unimpeachable characteristics, which are to be observed again and again in the practice - therefore these can not be claimed by the buyer as a material defect.
