Easy Rider is an American feature film from 1969, which describes the lifestyle of bikers in the late 1960s as a cult film and road movie. On May 8, 1969, Easy Rider was the official United States entry to the Cannes Film Festival. The premiere took place on July 14, 1969 in the United States, and on December 19, 1969 the film came to the cinemas of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The four Panheads that were converted for the film, dating from 1950 to 1952, were used police vehicles that Peter Fonda had previously bought at auction. Previously, Harley-Davidson had been unwilling to provide vehicles when requested. Two of the bikes were converted by Cliff Vaughs and Benjamin F. Hardy into the Billy Bike and the "Captain America".

Triumph Motorcycles ltd is the name of a motor vehicle manufacturer in the town of Hinckley in Great Britain. Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. mainly manufactures motorcycles, mostly under the Triumph brand name. Their most famous series is the Triumph Bonneville. It dates back to 1955 and is now considered one of the classics in English motorcycle history.

The TR6 Trophy is a motorcycle that was made by Triumph, in Meriden, from 1956 to 1973, when it was replaced by the five-speed 750-cc Triumph Tiger TR7V. During this time, it was a successful model, particularly in the US. The competition variant, popularly known as the "desert sled", won numerous competitions throughout the late 1950s and 1960s. The bike's appearance in The Great Escape and Steve McQueen's fondness for the model are well known. The motorcycles used during chase scene in film The Great Escape were 1961 Triumph  TR6 Trophy models disguised as German BMW R75 motorcycles. The star of the movie, Steve McQueen, did much of the riding for the film himself, although Bud Ekins performed the famous jump scene as McQueen's stunt double.

Triumph Bonneville is a motorcycle series from Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. in Hinckley, UK. The prototype of the series, also known as "Bonnie", was presented in 1958 at the Earls Court Motor Show in London. The series model came on the market in 1959.

The Triumph Bonneville became the Triumph Tiger T110, its engine was upgraded from 500 to 650 cm³. With around 50 hp, they made a real 193.1 km / h possible.
